Description

Registration deadline: August 7

Duration: One day course on August 24 from 9 am to 4 pm at CSBD, SR Top Floor

Course Description:

Have you used bio-image analysis tools in your research and never quite understood how they worked? Or why certain parameters worked and others failed? Or maybe not known which approach to use in the first place? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this course is for you!

The purpose of this course is to gain an understanding of the principles underlying several popular bio-image analysis approaches. The course is organized as a one-day series of lectures, covering topics such as segmentation, colocalization and tracking. You will learn about the theory of different bio-image analysis approaches, practical considerations for their application (when to use them, and when not to use them), as well as go through examples of their application in different biological problems.

As this is a lecture-based course, no coding experience is needed. However, it is recommended that applicants have past experience using bio-image analysis tools such as ImageJ.

We will inform you after August 7 if we can offer you a space in this course!
